How Can You Choose The Light Today?

Every day and every moment is an opportunity for you to feel more light and love.

Life is always calling you to be your Higher Self.

Are you taking advantage to give that to yourself?

Notice the directions you head off to. Pay attention to where you tend to go, whether the TV stations you listen to, the conversations you engage in, or the posts you share.

Are you bringing more light or fear?

The highest levels for you to feel are love, peace, and joy.

One of the best things to do for yourself is to notice how your life is in reference to these places.

Notice your choices and your decisions. When you are thinking about doing something, saying something, or planning something, ask yourself will this choice or decision give me more love, joy, and peace? If it does, follow those breadcrumbs. Follow each choice, and if you are still feeling better and lighter, that’s the right choice or decision for you.

If what you are discussing or sharing doesn’t feel light, hold on to it. Rather than leading with something to stir up others, find it within yourself to realize how this moment is an opportunity for you to find more light.

Love raises your vibration, your insights, and your day.

Love invites you into goodness.

Listen to your inner voice for what you need today.

What you focus on, you receive more.

The more conscious you are about whatever you do, the more empowered and excited you will feel about life.

Habits and past behaviors can keep you in darkness. Like needing to prove yourself, making somebody else wrong, or addictions.

There are two voices within you competing. Here’s a Native American legend that explains it well:

An old Cherokee is teaching his grandson about life:

“A fight is going on inside me,” he said to the boy.

“It is a terrible fight, and it is between two wolves. One is evil–he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.”

He continued, “The other is good – he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith. Yet, the same fight is going on inside you–and inside every other person, too.”

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: “Which wolf will win?”

The old Cherokee simply replied, “The one you feed.”

Which are you feeding in your life?

Today, I invite you to be looking and following the light. The light of kindness, compassion, joy, and peace. Whatever feels like the highest energy you feel. I know many days I tell myself to look for positive expectations or expect the best.

This past weekend we were in a group where they were discussing topics that bring great fear up in others, things that don’t make sense when everything in your life works right. I was asked what I thought. I replied with a few examples of people I know struggling with that issue. Real people, real situations. The temperature changed. You could see how their hearts opened, and they even said, oh, that is different, and I can understand the need.

Yes, when you listen with your heart rather than the fear your mind has been filled with, life can have different meanings.

Take time today to pay attention to each decision you are making. See if you can focus on only love, joy, and peace. Sure, you will go off to a lower energy. But remind yourself to get back on track.

Remember your focus. Put stickies around. Put reminders on your phone. I have a reminder in mine at noon to make a heart connection – breathe 10 times deeply, 10 things I’m grateful for. I don’t always do it perfectly, but it still shifts me back to where I want to be. How I want to feel.
Remember, only 2% more of what you desire in your life can change the trajectory of how your life is lived. 2% more today, 2% more tomorrow, and just feel the changes that can happen.

One of my Marianne Williamson’s books shares this prayer,

“Dear God,
May my mind today be filled with light
So darkness cannot enter here.
May love so saturate my every thought
That fear cannot remain.
Amen.”

Today, choose how you can bring more light to your world and notice how others around you are lighter and brighter too.

Fill your heart with light and love.
