"Your daily life is your temple and your religion.” Kahlil Gibran
Day 9 shares an understanding that within each of you is a center of wisdom far deeper and greater than you are aware. You have something within you greater than your intellect. One of the greatest obstacles to healing is the rational mind that wants to understand why. Your intellect can only take you so far with understanding the world and life. Faith and belief open you to a greater world of possibilities.
People are longing for a sense of connection to something greater. They want to know this Higher Power and release the demands of the intellect and trust their inner wisdom. They know there is something more. People experience this through prayer. It’s powerful because you have a group of people focused on healing, not illness or the problem. It’s more than the intellect can understand but people know prayer works.
A spiritual journey allows you to become more self-expressed and be more fulfilled. You go beyond the surface chatter of how things should be to finding the truth within you. You learn to live in harmony. The quality of your life is dependent upon the choices you make. Your spiritual evolution is about removing that which is not you. The journey shows you how to do that so that your light may shine.
Living your spiritual life is an invitation calling you to your greatness through this still small voice. You grow into it as you answer the call with a yes, and a yes, and a yes at whatever rate feels right for you. Your spiritual journey will be unique to you. There is no set path or time table for you to follow. Your choices will be made from the experiences in life you have had, things that capture your attention and what is your purpose in life. You will be shown many ways that can help support you along the way. Choose the ones that are right for you.
The search is the journey. The journey is your evolution to your best life, your greatest, your Higher Self. It is you at pure love. How do you get there? Ask to be shown your next steps and be open to hear the answers. You might not know anything about what shows up, but answer with a Yes if it came from your inner wisdom.
What do you need to do to be able to tap into your inner wisdom? Do you meditate? How do you use prayer in your life? It is said that prayer is when you ask God for something but in meditation you hear the answers. What can you do to slow down to listen and tap into your inner wisdom? Marianne Williamson says that even 5 minutes given to meditation in the morning, can change your entire course of your day to a more peaceful, loving presence. What practices could you use to begin this journey of going within to trust your inner wisdom, your internal guidance system?
Pain is there to tell you that you are not where you want to be. Are you listening to it or numbing it? Where could you pay attention to your pain? Give yourself permission to be honest. It’s in the honesty and the willingness that your life can shift closer to the life you desire.
