How Are You An Instrument Of Peace?

It’s easy to be overwhelmed in life today. There is so much communication happening – 24/7. There is more divisiveness than most of us can handle. Families are at “war” with each other. Simple conversations are hard to have in fear of what might be triggered.

What are you feeling?

Do you have peace of mind?

Describe the peace you are feeling. Where are you on a scale of 1-10? 10 being the most peaceful. 1 – angry.

Think about how you handle traumatic things or upsetting things. These situations can show your real character.

Think about the relationships in your life. Friends and family. Would you describe them as peaceful and harmonious? Relationships are life’s biggest teachers.

Reflect upon the conversations and stories you are telling and sharing.

How peaceful are you really?

You must be that of what you want.

Are you asking to have more peace in your life?

Stop and check in on what’s in your heart. Are you raging, content or in angst? In other words, if you desire more peace in your world, you must be peaceful. It all starts with you.

Maybe you are only beginning this journey to more peace in your life. Maybe your life has been so chaotic and crazy, and you are finally ready to have a more settled and calm life. Pat yourself on the back. Make it a big deal.

Wherever you are on the spectrum of peace and calm, know that you can be an instrument of peace. Your experiences can be shared. You can be an example of bringing more light into the world. People will see and feel the differences.

The world needs more harmony.

No matter where you are on the scale of having peace in your life, just desire and willingness will change the energy and what happens to you in your life.

I love seeing these words in one of my morning readings, “Divine peace and harmony surround me and dwell in me.” Whew, my body sees that and melts into the magic of those words. I can feel that deeply.

How can you relax and allow something higher to come in for you?

Is that a state of being for you?

Is it dedicating some time to be still?

Do you even want that, or are you even aware that it could be?

Begin by noticing where you are out of alignment with what’s true for you. That could be where you are frustrated or overwhelmed. Where you need more peace.

You may have over-scheduled yourself.

You might be hearing that monkey mind, unstoppable chatter.

You might be trying to please too many people and not yourself.

You might not be taking care of yourself.

Begin by making peace with yourself. Acknowledge wherever you are. Have compassion for yourself. Give yourself a break, you’ve been doing your best. You’ve decided you want something new.

How can you begin today being an instrument of peace?

Be kind instead of trying to be right. Listen more than you speak. Sit for 5 minutes a day without doing anything.

This blog might have captured your attention because you have desired more calm and peace in your life. You are ready to be more of an instrument of peace.

Take a breath and allow yourself to slow down and listen to what’s wanting to come through for you, to move you to a slower pace, to a more settled inner being.

Find tiny ways you can bring more peace to your world and the collective.

A ripple effect will be felt around the world. One small act of kindness can change the world.

Choose to be that which you desire – “I am an instrument of peace.”

Begin that journey one small step at a time.

Feel the peace that fills your mind and heart.
