You can’t even love yourself or be true to yourself
unless you know who you are really – separate from your ego.” -Oprah

Day 18 helps you find your gifts to share with the world.  Who are you?  What is it you truly desire? What is your sacred path?  What have you chosen as your path to follow?  How are you taking your life to a Higher Level?  How is your Higher Self emerging? As you begin your search to know exactly what you have to contribute in a big way, take the time to really go within.  What gifts do you have? What do you like about yourself?  What is it you love about yourself and love to do?  What has been a childhood dream? What are your strengths and your passion?  By knowing your strengths, it will help you build confidence for you to step out in the world. Take time to write down all the things you love to do – dance, sing, draw, spend time in nature, move a lot, be with others, be alone, read, whatever it is, write it down.  What do you know that you are good at?  Is it working with numbers, speaking, teaching, comforting others? Discern what draws you in. What grabs your attention? Take a look at your list. If it lights you up these are the things you love.  These are the things that will be important to you. Discovering your gifts helps guide you to creating your best life.  Take the time to do this to honor what’s important to you.  It will open a space for greater possibilities to come to your life.  You are answering yes to who you are.

“The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away.” – Daily Guru   What do you need to tap into and to discover your gifts? What is it that gives your life meaning, purpose and depth?  Who and what are influencing you in life? Do you have the confidence to see that you are able to step into your greatness?  Do you have the courage that allows you to take the action you know that is next for you? What do you need help with to make the move to share who you are?

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.  Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.  It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.  We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous?  Actually who are you not to be?  You are a child of God.  Your playing small does not serve the world.  There is nothing enlightening about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.  We are meant to shine, as children do.  We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.  It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone.  As we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.  As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.’ Marianne Williamson, a Return to Love

Who are your heroes, princes, and your bad boys?  What is it about them that clearly articulate who they are?  Who are you? What’s the attraction for you? Connect with your personal archetypes. There is wisdom for you to living your best life. It broadens your perspective of why you choose the things you do and how you act and play in the world.

Another key to figuring out your gifts could be to look at any trauma or suffering you have overcome.  You can help others heal.  For example, if you have had alcohol or drug problems.  Who knows better than you, to help someone else find their way?  Your life story is a powerful example so others can relate to and find hope.  It is helpful to connect to others and to be able to understand how others have gone thorough similar experiences and not only survived but thrived from the suffering.  You are here to help solve the problems of the world with your special gift. “Everything is out there waiting for you. All you have to do is walk up and declare yourself in. No need for permission. You just need courage to say, ‘Include me’. Providing you have the energy to pull it off you can do what you like.”— Stuart Wilde

next-steps

Actions Steps:

  1. What are your strengths and weakness? Take a look at your list. If it lights you up they are the things you love. From this exercise, now what would you say your gifts and talents are?  How are you nurturing them? How are you sharing them?  How could you?
  2. Make a list of what you are good at and things that come easy to you. (above exercise)  Share it with at least two other people.  Ask them to name some qualities they see as your gifts. Add those to your list.
