“You are on a quest to find the holy grail of the authentic you.”
– Marianne Williamson

purposeDay 19 reflects on Living on Purpose.  Follow your heart, doing what you love. Are you creating a life you love?  Living on purpose is your divine calling to grow into the perfection of you.  Discovering your purpose is what helps you to be true to yourself.  Your purpose is your inspiration, your connection to something bigger than you. It adds meaning to whatever you do and helps you have a true sense of what success is.

Purpose is what you give in all areas of your life. What do you love doing?  What’s a theme that runs throughout your life?  It’s fun to take some time to really understand what sets you on fire and is just part of your life.  It is who you are and what makes your life meaningful.

As you begin aligning your days based on purpose and meaning you see how this passion allows you to be excited about your day. There is an inner confidence and certainty with passion.  You feel bliss and good.  There is a certainty in doing what’s right for you.  You know what you love about life and spend your time engaged in that.  You prioritize your day by focusing on things important to you.  There is a deliberate focusing rather than being pulled in different directions.  You stop doing the things that don’t make your life worth living for you.  You don’t settle for mediocre life.  You rethink how you spend your time.  You consciously choose situations and things that are aligned with your life’s vision, passion, dreams and purpose.  There is greater meaning in your life beyond the physical happenings.

Where are you settling for less?  How can you reinvent a lifestyle that reflects the authentic you?  How can you add purpose and meaning to your life?  How about designing your curriculum for living a purposeful life?  Here’s an idea:

Principles for aligning with purpose:

  • Focus on your vision, passion and dreams (85th birthday) What do you love to do?
  • Living consciously
  • Choose based on your vision, passion and dreams.
  • Focus on what you want rather than on what you don’t want
  • Be the observer
  • Say Yes – allow the Universe to give you what you desire
  • Trust your inner wisdom
  • Use your inner guidance system to guide you
  • Clean the garden and keep weeding, what do you need to let go of internally and externally?
  • Make your spiritual journey a continuous ongoing process

How are you doing on making decision with the help of your inner wisdom?  Do you trust what you hear?  Can you hear? Have you added meditation to your life to hear the answers to your prayers? When you allow quiet moments, you increase your opportunity to hear the answers or what the next step is.   Do you know this small, still voice inside of you is also known as your intuition or your conscious? This voice is always available, 24/7.  Your task is to listen and trust it, to know it’s your truth.  The more you open up to this voice in your every day, the greater sense of peace you will have in your life.  Are you willing to shift the control of your life? Are you willing to allow a new decision maker?

As you begin shifting to living a more purposeful life, you may want to take this opportunity to refine your ideas and beliefs of who you are and what you want from life. What are the new beliefs you have in your life guiding you to a purposeful life? Find your own truths.  What are they?

next-steps

Actions Steps:

  1. What are two qualities you want to live over the next year?  How could you give them to yourself?  What would it look like?  How does it show up in your life daily, weekly?
  2. Go through some books and magazines.  Circle words that describe you.  Then go back through the words you chose.  Did you circle the same word a few times?  Which of the words would you say best describe you?  Choose one of the words to be your noun and one that would be your adjective.  For instance, I love change, I love trying things.  I love helping people see how life can be better.  I love helping people see the best in them.  So I noticed I had inspiration and change as my two words.  So then, how can you make those two words describe you? Make it something that really shows what your life is about. I made my words “inspiring catalyst.”

Journal Time:

  • What inspired you most from the call?
  • What are two ideas you are taking from the call?
  • Where are you finding resistance?
  • What is one action step you will take within 24 hours of the call?
  • What support do you need to help you keep moving forward?
